Art Meets Art was born from a simple wish: to create the beauty House I would have loved to shop at and work for.

Raised in Paris on a houseboat with views of the Eiffel Tower and the Pont Alexandre III, I strive, in return, to celebrate the beauty and lifestyle of the City of Light—a city deeply rooted in global culture and the arts.

While traveling the globe for business and leisure—collecting new musical genres, languages, and culinary styles—Paris and its art de vivre have always remained my home port.

Singing, playing the guitar, and listening to all kinds of grooves, I’ve found that few things move us like music. Yet, scent is also a profound unifier. Starting my scent journey with cooking (taught by my grandmother) and then oenology, I later joined Lancôme and Kiehl’s to continue exploring our senses. Ultimately, I realized that scent and sound share a unique, invisible power: they are our most intuitive languages for energy, emotion, and memory.

From my years at Lancôme and Kiehl’s, I learned the true meaning of product excellence. Blending music and beauty felt like the most natural next step in exploring human creativity.

With Art Meets Art, our ambition is to bring an arty, playful, and uninhibited edge to luxury beauty, contributing to the rich French tradition of Art, Beauty, and Taste.

By exploring our artistic heritage, Art Meets Art questions and stimulates our sensitive humanity, seeking a universality that unites us and at the heart of which our innermost selves resonate.

Designed with passion in Paris. Made in France.

Alberto Morillas

The Mediterranean sun nature lives at the heart of Alberto Morillas’s art. Born in Seville and essentially self-taught, he joined Firmenich in 1970, rising to become one of the most influential Master Perfumers of modern times.

Revered for his radiant freshness, luminous musks, and habit of penning every formula by hand in ink, Alberto has defined generations of iconic scents. In 2013, he became the first perfumer honored with the Fragrance Foundation’s Lifetime Achievement Award.

Notable Creations: Giorgio Armani Acqua di Giò, Calvin Klein CK One, and Marc Jacobs Daisy.

“I’m a longtime fan of Madonna’s work and the way she constantly reinvents herself. For “Like a Virgin”, I tried to capture the essence of who she was at this point in her life and the energy surrounding the song and era.”

Fabrice Pellegrin

The heritage of Grasse runs deep in Fabrice Pellegrin. Born into an olfactory dynasty spanning four generations—from his jasmine-picker grandmother to his newly graduated perfumer son—Fabrice is dedicated to passing down this timeless savoir-faire.

Dividing his time between Paris and Grasse, he balances fine fragrance creation with steering natural ingredient development at dsm-firmenich. His artistry partly draws inspiration from a formative youth in Brazil, where Bossa Nova and local warmth left an indelible mark, making music an essential ritual in his daily creative process.

Notable Creations: Diptyque Do Son, L’Eau Papier, Eau Duelle.

“One of my main sources of inspiration for creating fragrances is music: from its soft melodies that evoke an oriental perfume, to electronic music that I associate with aromatic, vibrant notes.”
