Like a Virgin was inspired by lyricist Billy Steinberg finding renewed romantic light after an arduous breakup—a phoenix rising from its ashes. Madonna famously brought her signature innuendo and edge, turning it into her breakthrough anthem: a daring dance between sweet innocence and audacious optimism.

Perfumer Fabrice Pellegrin approached the track through the lens of a gentle transition into a new chapter. He crafts a Proustian awakening led by Moroccan orange blossom steeped in an infusion of warm milk, followed by an alluring base of seductive vanilla.

Dividing his time between Paris and Grasse, he balances fine fragrance creation with steering natural ingredient development at dsm-firmenich. His artistry partly draws inspiration from a formative youth in Brazil, where Bossa Nova and local warmth left an indelible mark, making music an essential ritual in his daily creative process.
